Goalball Athlete, Coach, Officials Development Camp Invitation

Goalball Australia is seeking expressions of interest from athletes, coaches and officials to attend our upcoming Goalball Development Camp – an intensive weekend training opportunity at the NEC Hangar in Melbourne from 23rd-26th January, 2026.

Who Should Attend: Goalball players who are committed to advancing their skills and competitive performance and new/aspiring coaches and officials who are keen to develop their skills in coaching or officiating.  Priority will be given to those emerging/developing athlete’s however players on national squad may also be considered

What You'll Experience: Train alongside experienced national team coaches from our men's, women's, and youth programs. Through focused skill development sessions, tactical training and competitive play, you'll gain insights from those who compete at the highest levels of the sport.

For New/Aspiring Coaches & Officials: This camp also provides a unique learning opportunity for those interested in coaching or officiating. Shadow our national coaching staff, learn training methodologies, and gain hands-on experience in a competitive development environment.

Athlete Cost

This camp is subsidised with a maxium cost to athletes of $400, this will be payable by 14 december 2026 with any surplus funds be returned once camp costs are finalised (post camp).  Camp costs are evening split across all athletes

Coach and Officals cost

Coaches and Officials are fully funded

Travel arrangements

If selected your flights will be booked by Goalball Australia, you will depart friday late afternoon/evening for melbourne and depart melbourne monday late afternoon evening, if you require your flight to be changed, you will be charged the $90 change fee applied by the airline.

Accomodation

Accomodation is included along with meals.  Rooms will be shared with other attendee's

Committment

By submitting this EOI you are comfirming that you are available and able to attend as well as pay the camp invoice of $400 (athletes only) by the 14th december.

Important dates

Sunday 23 November EOI closes

Wednesday 26 November participants finalised

Sunday 30 November participants notified if selected for the camp or not, invoices issued and flights be started to be booked

Sunday 14 December 2025 - invoice payment due for athletes

Friday 23 January 2026 travel to the Hanger (Melbourne)

Monday 26 January 2026 return home
