Goalball Athlete and Coach Development Camp Expressions of Interest

When: 20-21 June 2026
(For those flying in your flights will depart Friday late afternoon, those in WA will be early afternoon)

Where: The hanger (Melbourne)

Goalball Australia is seeking expressions of interest from athletes, coaches and officials to attend our upcoming Goalball Development Camp – an intensive weekend training opportunity at the NEC Hangar in Melbourne from 20-21 June 2026

Who Should Attend: 

• Goalball players who are committed to advancing their skills and competitive performance.
• New/aspiring coaches and officials who are keen to develop their skills in coaching or officiating
• Those over 14 years of age
• Players in National squads please discuss with your coach if this camp would benefit you.

What You'll Experience: 

• Train alongside experienced national team coaches (Andrew R and Craig C are confirmed)
• Focused skill development sessions
• Tactical training
• Competitive play

For New/Aspiring Coaches This camp also provides a unique learning opportunity for those interested in coaching or officiating. Shadow our national coaching staff, learn training methodologies, and gain hands-on experience in a competitive development environment.

• Advanced defence
• Throwing strategies
• Position-specific training
• Strength and conditioning

All athletes and coaches are encourage to submitt an expression, those Junior's (under 14) we are working on a specific camp later this year or early next.

Spot allocations will be prioritised for those athlete's classifiable or likely to be classifiable, however all athletes will be considered regardless of visual ability.

All coaches are also encouraged to submitt and EOI for consideration.

Athlete: $500-$600
Coach/Offiicial: $0

Flights
- Flight costs are covered in your registration fee. 
- NSW, QLD, SA Flights will generally be booked to depart your local airport mid to late afternoon where possible on friday the 19th of June, with athletes landing in melbourne early evening.
- WA, Flights will be late morning early afternoon
- NT, TAS, flights will be arranged as needed.
